20kg Down, 3 Munros Up: Tamzyn’s Unstoppable Journey!

Tamzyn’s fitness journey didn’t begin with The Fitness Collective, but we’re incredibly proud to have been part of it since August 2024. Her transformation is a powerful reminder of what’s possible with consistency, support, and finding that all-important belief in yourself.
Back in January 2024, Tamzyn decided enough was enough and set herself a bold weight loss challenge. With the support of her sister-in-law, she joined Orange Theory Fitness, and with basic nutrition advice and a calorie target, she began tracking her food through MyFitnessPal, making some key changes along the way. The result? A phenomenal 10kg weight loss in just three months!
When Orange Theory Nottingham closed its doors in July, Tamzyn wasn’t about to let her momentum slip. Already a keen follower of The Fitness Collective on Instagram, she knew exactly where to turn—and secured herself a spot on our renowned 6-Week Accelerator Programme in August. The rest, as they say, is history… and we’ve never looked back.
It was here she began working with TFC Coach Heather, and everything started to click.
"I’d been sticking to 1200 calories a day since starting out, but I knew I needed to fuel myself better. I’d fallen into that trap of being scared to eat more. Then I met Heather, and it’s been brilliant!"
Tamzyn and Heather worked closely to rebuild her nutrition habits around her lifestyle. They talked through her routine, her goals, the foods she loved, and most importantly, how to enjoy those foods guilt-free.
"One of the best pieces of advice I got was: ‘Don’t stop eating what you love, find balance, and it’ll become part of your everyday lifestyle.’ Now, I treat myself in moderation and I NEVER feel bad about it. I’ve learned that I don’t have to say no to anything!"

Tamzyn now trains for the active lifestyle she loves outside the gym. That means hiking in the Scottish Highlands, tackling three Munros in a single day, fuelling her new love of running and even applying to be a contestant on Race Across the World!!!
